Reduce vulnerability by preparing your employees and build sustainable duty of care solutions

Training and exercises are crucial for bridging the gap between written procedures and the reality on the ground, and preparing people in an organisation to act in the face of uncertainty. Importantly, training should never be another layer of bureaucracy that is imposed on the employee, but a relevant and dynamic activity, bringing reflection and improvement to the organisation.

Guardian delivers best-in-class training across a range of security and crisis management-related fields. Everything we teach is grounded in real-life experience and evidence. We only use skilled instructors with both practical and educational experience, and a high level of professionalism. Since our goal is to maximise the outcome for the participants, we always prioritise the inclusion of live drills and practical exercises in our courses. All courses can be tailor-made to meet the requirements of your organisation.

Crisis Management Team exercises (CMTex) – This exercise is a one- or two-day practice of written and approved procedures. The CMTex should be conducted on a regular basis, enabling the management to react swiftly and effectively to emerging crises.

Crisis Communication Training – This is a one day course, offered in conjunction with Ulveman & Børsting, meant to build the capacity of crisis management teams. Consisting of both practical exercises and theory, at the end of the day, participants will have an overview of the best practises of crisis communication, be able to define their core message, and handle communication under pressure.

Travel Security Awareness Training (TSAT) – This is a one-day course that prepares employees for travel activity in middle- and high-risk countries. Subjects such as travel assessment, stress handling, crime prevention, and hostage survival will be on the agenda.

Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) – HEAT is a three- to five-day course that enables the employee to take care of his/her own safety and security in high-risk areas, and to survive critical situations. The course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to lower potential risks and cope with threats, injuries, hostage takings, terrorist attacks, armed clashes, and more.

Remote First Aid – Guardian offers a wide spectrum of medic courses and always aims to ensure that the level of education is suitable for the participant’s prior knowledge. The duration of the courses varies from four hours to advanced three-day courses. Our remote first aid courses primarily address travelling and staying in high-risk areas and places with limited emergency services.

Advanced Driving Course – Over two to three days of training, this course aims to improve the defensive driving skills of drivers to pre-empt accidents. Moreover, drivers will learn the appropriate response and actions, should they be involved in accidents.

Maritime Security Courses – Guardian also offers various training within maritime security, such as ISPS and MSO courses, as well as exercises within port security.
